Sultan School District Families and Community Members:

Due to the overwhelming demand for Covid-19 testing yesterday and today by families and community members at our PMG test site, PMG is now facing a test-kit supply shortage. While PMG is prioritizing the limited remaining test kits for students and student-athletes, we will temporarily no longer be able to allow families and community members to receive Covid-19 testing at the PMG test site so that we can ensure all students needing testing can get testing to keep our schools open, keep students learning in-person, and meet WIAA requirements for students to participate in extracurricular activities.

While PMG was able to keep up with the pre-Winter Break testing demand, they are not able to keep up with the current, significantly increased demand from families and community members in addition to students. Like most sectors, they are experiencing supply shortages and longer shipping times combined with an astounding demand for testing; they are doing all that they can to provide as much testing as possible while prioritizing testing for our students but it is unfortunately not enough to meet the current demand.

We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to navigate through Covid-19 challenges while trying to keep students healthy, keep schools open, and provide as much normalcy as possible. We will communicate when we will be able to re-open testing for families and community members.

In the meantime, if you need Covid-19 testing there are several options available:
1. Pharmacies – please call your local pharmacy to see if they offer Covid-19 testing or Covid-19 test kits for purchase.
2. Healthcare Provider – if you are symptomatic, please contact your healthcare provider for testing.
3. Snohomish County Testing Facilities – county-wide.
4. Drive-Thru Testing - Snohomish Health District.
5. Lynne Kelly, RN - EMAIL Lynne to request a Covid-19 test locally (Skykomish to Monroe) when the weather improves. Lynne currently has a limited supply of tests but is anticipating more soon. Include your name, phone number, and local city/town. You will need to fill out a separate consent form, Lynne will not schedule tests over the phone. Email: [email protected]

If your student becomes ill and is in need of Covid-19 testing, then please contact your student’s school nurse to discuss your student’s symptoms and create a return plan.

Thank you,
