Dear Families and Community Members,

I want to update you about changes to our partner testing program and Covid-19 protocols reflecting the new DOH guidance.

With the increase in testing supplies and waived testing requirements for student-athletes, our Covid-19 testing partner (Premier Medical Group-PMG) will reopen testing for families and community members beginning Monday, March 14, 2022. If you, your student, or your family members need testing then you will need to register with PMG. Once you are registered, then you may stop by room 305 at Sultan Middle School to get your test. *Note, the testing site is only accessible from the parking lot on the west side of campus; do not go to or call the SMS office to get your test. Testing is available Mondays-Fridays from 1-5 pm with the exception that there will be NO TESTING on Wednesday, April 6, 2022; PMG does not accept specific appointment times and testing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Important items to note regarding testing with PMG:
1. Each person must be registered with PMG before showing up for a test AND have their QR code available for scanning; register here: https://pmg.app.perseus.id/div/sultan
2. PMG is a separate testing provider with a separate system. Sultan School District or Sultan Middle School staff are unable to help or provide technical assistance with PMG registration.

Covid-19 Protocols
We will continue to follow guidance from DOH for symptomatic individuals and individuals who are close contacts of positive cases. Students or staff that have one or more symptoms of COVID-19 are required to stay home and follow the guidance from DOH related to their symptoms, which may include getting tested or seeing a health care provider.

Any student or staff member that tests positive for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, is required to isolate at home following current guidelines from DOH and CDC regardless of vaccination status. Staff and Students may return to work/school after 5 full days of isolation if:
Symptoms have significantly improved or are asymptomatic; AND
No fever, without the use of fever-reducing medications, for the past 24 hours; AND
Test negative with an antigen or at-home test any day after day 5; OR
Wear a well-fitted mask, or face shield with a drape, during days 6-10 of their isolation period.

If the student or staff member cannot wear a mask and does not test negative after day five, then they must continue isolating at home through day 10.

Any student or staff member that is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms is required to be isolated immediately, sent home, and referred to diagnostic testing as soon as possible regardless of vaccination status. While waiting to leave the school or program the student or staff member is required to be in a designated isolation space. The symptomatic individual is required to wear a well-fitting mask.

Sultan School District will continue to update our COVID Dashboard, found on our website HERE. Additionally, we will notify staff and any student who has been identified as immunocompromised, medically fragile, or otherwise at high risk for severe COVID-19 of their potential exposure.  We will continue to report all positive cases to the Snohomish Health District.
