Sultan School District Families,

We want to thank those of you who took the opportunity to vote in the recent election on February 8th.  Unfortunately as of this morning, with a current 47.5% in favor vote for proposition 1 and a 47% in favor vote for proposition 2, the levies did not reach the needed level to pass in Snohomish County. We are listening and want to work with the community to better understand a path forward. We look forward to continuing conversations and partnerships with our families and community members as we come together to serve the students and families that make up our fantastic Sky Valley Communities, including Sultan, Startup, Gold Bar, Index, and parts of unincorporated Snohomish County within our school district boundaries.

The regular school board study session is on Tuesday, February 15th at 7:00 pm where the school board is expected to discuss the levy results and next steps. We are committed to continuing to engage with families and community members truthfully and earnestly. We will continue to provide opportunities to listen and learn together so that we can move forward to safely serve our students, families, and community members and safeguard District investments. To view the Board meeting schedule please click HERE for all 2021-2022 meeting dates. The zoom link for the meeting will be posted in both the Agenda and Packets which are linked on our website HERE.

Some wonderful things are happening in the District both in the classrooms and with co-curricular activities. Our winter athletic teams are doing very well and our cheerleading squad recently finished fourth at state. Whether you supported the levy or not, I am here to work with you to answer any questions that you might have. I can be reached in any of the following ways: by email at [email protected], by phone at (360)793-9800 or cell at (360)926-6188.
